Nintendo has become the McDonald's of the gaming world. They don't sell video games anymore, they sell the Nintendo brand. Or Nintendo nostalgia. That's the only reason I can understand the obsession with Super Smash Brothers Brawl, since it's a ten-year-old fighting game, just with every Nintendo character ever made in it.

nintendo: rehashing the past since [1997]/[before rehashing the past was cool].

coming up with a fighting interface that doesn't involve memorizing a zillion button combos probably helped, too. I'll admit it, I'm one of the obsessed.
